The Spiritual Meaning of Passover

I have been noticing the connection between my current state of consciousness and the alignment of the Jewish holidays. This time of year has always been a major transition point. It’s like the days leading up to it I am given the choice to sacrifice my ego, or remain a slave to the same patterns that are holding me back from miracles, peace and abundance.

It’s quite the battle, the balance between the dark and the light. Not only are we experiencing these energies collectively, but they are also part of our internal nature. How we perceive the world from the outside is a manifestation of whats happening within. Are we consumed by fear, anger, lack, grief, anxiety? Are our days filled with stress, sadness, overthinking and disconnection? Or are we connected to our higher truth and have a joyous, loving abundant mindset placing us on the path towards miracles?

Passover is about being aware of and acknowledging the toxic patterns, attitudes, and behaviors and making the choice to let them go. It is the universe saying, here is the opportunity to free yourself from the chains and the restraints of the ego, but you must put in the work and align this unfolding energy with your inner being first.

This is a sacred time period right now. Over the past 40 days we have been in an energetic portal (Galut) where we are opening the lines of communication with our highest self in Aries season. We are being shown what needs to be released, what needs to be transformed, and ultimately, how to take our power back. The full moon in Libra, which lands on passover, is part of a culmination of this energy and it will open the doors to change, transformation and manifestation, especially in our relationships and finances.

In order to manifest our truest and deepest desires, our energy needs a clean slate. This means breaking free from the ego and releasing the burdens that are trapped within our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies. It’s no coincidence that passover takes place in the heart of fiery transformative Aries, which is the beginning of the astrological new year.

It is hard to do all of this work alone. Walking down the path of self-discovery isn’t all sunshine and rainbows, although the rewards are definitely worth the sacrifice. I wouldn’t have been able to come to these conclusions if it weren’t for my spiritual teachers, healing practioners and guides.

Energy work, like Reiki and Chakra Balancing, along with Massage Therapy and Manual Lymphatic Drainage are all designed to help regulate our nervous system, remove toxins by detoxing our cells and tissues, and give us a moment in our day for clarity, reconnection and recovery. If you clear the physical body, you clear up space in the mental, emotional and spiritual, leaving room for new energy to create space for manifesting and healing. The transition is in the realm of exploring the bridges between your old self and your new self, literally passing over from one state of consciousness to the next.
